I forgot to indicate how I am related to the Beene family. My mother was Dezzie Ree Beene Brown, her parents were Jency and Hayes Beene. My mother married Thermon Brown they had six children, Marie(me), Thurman, Thelma, Ruthel, Peggie and Arlester. We were all born in Haynesville, Louisiana except Peggie born in Oklahoma and Arlester in Arizona. Any family of my mother's sisters out there? Email me.

I am a descendant of Alexander and Christianna (Mac)Bean of Edgefield, SC, formerly of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. My grandmother was Reba Bean Partridge who was born and raised in Faulkville, Alabama. I was recently surprised and delighted to discover that there is a cemetery near Aberfoil, Alabama that contains the earthly remains of some of my Bean relatives who were of the same line. I'm planning a trip there asap.

Hi Bean Family!I\'m researching my roots, sprouts, branches, leaves, trails ,etc. I\'ve been told I have a Bean. Now if it can onlysprout into more...My maiden name is Henson of the Henson family in Nacogdoches, Texas. Some family members lived in Cherokee County, Texas? I was bornin Pasadena, Texas and many other members are from the Dallas, Marshall and Longview, East Texas side. Some relatives are from Louisiana,Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi and Oklahoma, etc. I was transplanted to family in Florida. Is anyone related to Martha Womack Bean  born in 1758 or 1768 in Georgia? She was married to Robert Bean who was born in Virginia in 1764? He died in Tennessee. He is buried in the Bean/Ralston Cemetery.  Was Martha Womack Bean a Choctaw Indian? Martha\'s father was David Womack and her mother was Mildred Pryor. She is my great great great great great grandmother. Her daughter, Sarah Sallie Bean married Ben Franklin Selmon. Sarah\'s brother was Obadiah Franklin Bean, born 1785. The Selmon family lived in Georgia and then settled in Cherokee County, TX.Sarah Sallie Bean was born in Tenn. Ben and Sarah had a son named Ben F. Selmon Jr. who married and they had a daughter named Artemesia Selmon who married in Alabama to Reuben Boone of N.C.They had a daughte named Mary Boone who married Thomas Wagnon. They had a daughter named Ruby who married a German man named Robert Rader. They had a daughter named India Artemesia Rader who is my paternal grandmother...whew!Help if you are linked with me.Thanks.Trish

Good morning  My name is Sonya Bean Cooper. I live in Leighton, AL. My Father is the late Robert Bean, Sr.   I recently ran across some interesting information about a possible early descendent of the Bean family, William Bean, a man who is named in books that were written about the Bean Rifles made by William Bean in Tennessee.  William was a white man who soon became a plantation owner...interesting!  This is the link below: http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=15464.0;wap2

Congratulations Nashville, TN  Beene\'s for doing such a fantastic job! We take our hats off to you!!! Our family reunion was a great gathering of generations of family members who came together to honor the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to the future. It was the reconnecting of relatives for one common purpose. We embraced fun, food, fellowship and our faith. This loving and joyous occasion allowed us to renew relationships with each other whom we seldom see, begin relationships with those that we didn\'t know, and express love to those  that we may never see again. It was a great time to engage and encourage our youth, while appreciating our aging.  We honor the legacy of those ancestors who have sacrificed much for our benefit and to show humility for our many blessings on all we have achieved thus far.  But most of all, it is about thanking ALmighty GOD and our ancestors for the privilege of being here.  I am proud to be a part of this great family!!!!  See ya next year in Mississippi-2012.R.I.P. ALL BEENE family members who have gone on before us.......We Honor, Miss and Love You all!Respectfully submitted,Leticeia (Tisa) Parker Love--Reunion ChairGrandchild of the late Leander Beene, SR.Parents--Erskin and Dessie Beene Parker

Hello Family, I was looking forward to attending the Family Reunion in Houston. Unfortunately I will have to cancel my reservations. My son in-law was in an accident in Pensocola, Florida and my daughter had to flight there to be with him. I'm not sure when he will be able to travel to his home in Chicago. I am now responsible for my 10, 3 and 1 year old grandsons. Please keep my son-in-law in your prayers. Hope to see Beene/Bean Family next year at the reunion. Enjoy Houston Family..............

Hi, family!I haven\'t been to the site in a while and it has changed since the last time I saw it. I still love it, even more.  I really enjoyed reading about cousin Christine Beene\'s 80th birthday celebration.  She and cousin Ollie have always added so much class to the family.  I haven\'t made it to many reunions but I look forward to seeing them at the ones I\'ve attended.  What a blessing to be married 62 years and to be surrounded by your children, grandkids, etc.So many of us didn\'t have our parents around by the time we reached maturity.  There are questions that have to go unanswered and hugs and kisses that will never be given because our loved ones are gone.  So to you young folks, while you still have your family members around you, don\'t take them for granted.  Appreciate them (warts and all).  Greet them with kisses.  Let them know they\'re special to you.  Ask them about their childhood.  I guarantee you, it will be interesting. Forgive them if you perceive they\'ve wronged you.  Remember God forgave you.  Maybe it\'s because I\'m an artist, but I\'ve  often wondered what my mother\'s favorite color was.  I never asked her but I\'d surely like to know.  I bet it was purple, like mine.

The name above may not catch the eyes of those who may not know who I am but I am the son of Herman Beene/Haynesville Louisiana. I must first of all give thanks to God and second to those who have put so much effort in assuring this event take place. This will be a first for me and I look forward to meeting an abundance of family members that I may have seen in passing but never knew the family ties. Uncle Crosby, you have done well - consider this message a PAT on the back and my handshake. Well done!!!
